Trump at press conference: There is no turning back, Greenland is part of American strategy

US President Donald Trump has made a strong statement at the White House, doubling down on his demands to own Greenland, describing the territory as "essential to national and global security."
He said there is "no turning back" on his plan to include Greenland as part of the US strategy.
At the same time, French President Emmanuel Macron issued a stark warning during the World Economic Forum in Davos, countering the US's mounting tariffs, and warned of a "shift towards a world without rules."
Macron called the escalation of tariffs by the United States "fundamentally unacceptable," highlighting the risk of worsening international trade relations.
Trump's new tariffs are a response to international opposition to his plans for Greenland, and could deepen the rift with traditional US allies.
Meanwhile, the European Parliament has decided to suspend approval of a trade deal with the US as the escalating debate over Greenland and Trump's policies has raised concerns and added to tensions in transatlantic relations.
