Private clinic sues Eliona Pitarka: I am not in prison, I have not received any

The clash between the Vera-VIRHOV clinic in Tirana and former actress, now blogger Eliona Pitarka continues. The latter has reacted publicly through a video on social networks, after the announcement that the private clinic run by Genta Dedej has sued her for defamation, insult, damage to her image and violation of the law. According to them, this process is based on the Criminal Code and provides for sentences of up to 3 years in prison.

Pitarka has rejected the clinic's claims, explaining that there is no legal violation or legal proceedings against her. The blogger explains that in her public appearances on the networks she has not shared anything that violates the law, but only general, educational information of a public nature, the same as those that have been distributed for years in the media, interviews and open platforms by professionals in the field themselves. Eliona underlines that she has shared experiences and general information, as a mother and as a public figure, in a transparent and verifiable manner.

Regarding the legal process, Pitarka clarified that she has not received any summons, notice or official document from any legal institution. According to her, these are public accusations without legal basis, which are more aimed at damaging her image.

It all started with an earlier post, where Eliona shared a diet for children that pediatrician Edi Tushe had allegedly offered her. The latter stated that he had not authorized the actress to use his name to promote children's diets. A year ago, ZËRI was the first media outlet in Albania to denounce in the documentary "The Forbidden Milk", the massively widespread phenomenon in Albania of the promotion of formula milk by influencers and public figures in complete violation of the law. But despite our denunciation, none of the public figures apologized to the public but instead began to report our page through undemocratic means. But what was once just formula milk versus breast milk, seems to have gone much further, into the advertising of children's diets as well.
