Moroccans begin legal proceedings, demand Senegal be stripped of its title:

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has issued an official press release, through which it announced that it has initiated legal proceedings following the Africa Cup of Nations final against Senegal.

The Moroccans demand "justice", despite the fact that during the final, according to many assessments, it was Senegal that felt harmed by the referee's decisions.

The controversy is related to a key moment in the match, when the Senegal national team decided to leave the field after a penalty was awarded. However, not all the Senegalese players left the match and, after about ten minutes of waiting, they returned to the field to continue the game. In the end, Senegal managed to win and celebrate the title of African champion.

"The Royal Moroccan Football Federation announces that it will initiate legal proceedings against CAF and FIFA regarding the withdrawal of the Senegalese national team from the final against Morocco and the events that followed the referee's decision to award a penalty, a decision that all experts considered correct."

"This situation significantly affected the normal flow of the match and the players' performance," the statement said.
