The Tirana Court decided to sentence Tomorr Çela, accused of murdering 2 people in 1997, to 23 years in prison.

A2 CNN reports that Çela was extradited from the US to our country on June 2, 2022. He was captured by American police at the request of Albanian authorities and has now been brought to Albania to serve his sentence.

After arriving in Albania, he requested a retrial, a process that confirmed the sentence previously given to him.

We recall that the incident occurred after a car crash. Çela killed Elton Dan and Ledian Hoxha on November 27, 1997 on "Bajram Curri" Street in Tirana and then disappeared, but was later spotted in the USA.
