"The GJK is carrying out the ugliest farce", Rama: They want to increase the salaries of judges by trial. Respect for SPAK for not joining this nonsense!

Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed through a post on X that today the Constitutional Court is developing "the ugliest imaginable farce, which has been imposed on it by two associations of judges, who want to increase their salaries through litigation, breaking the state salary pyramid."
Rama expressed his criticism, writing that "now they want to be given the right to increase their own salaries in perpetuity whenever other salaries increase, so that Albania will forever be the only country in the world where judges are paid more than anyone else, taking away the constitutional powers of the government and parliament for salary policy."
In conclusion, he praised the non-involvement of the Special Prosecution Office in this process. "Respect for SPAK for not joining this mess in the name of judicial independence," he wrote.

Today, the Constitutional Court is developing (unfortunately without live broadcast for technical reasons) the ugliest imaginable farce, which has been imposed on it by two associations of judges, who want to increase their salaries through litigation, breaking the state salary pyramid, while they are the highest paid category in Albania, as a result of the support that this governing majority gave to the judiciary for the sake of the Justice Reform!
Now they want to be given the right to increase their own salaries in perpetuity whenever other salaries increase, meaning that Albania will forever be the only country in the world where judges are paid more than anyone else, taking away the constitutional powers of the government and parliament over salary policy - this is a logical, moral, legal and constitutional scandal, which I hope the Constitutional Court will never allow to turn into a national shame!
Respect to SPAK for not joining this nonsense in the name of judicial independence????
