Rama's participation in the "Peace Board", the vote in the Assembly will be carried out with an accelerated procedure

The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, sent a message to the group's deputies this Tuesday regarding the need to review Albania's participation in the "Peace Board" through an accelerated procedure.
Deputies must be on standby if there is a need for a follow-up session, before January 27th, when the next parliamentary session is.
" Greetings colleagues. Albania's accession to the Peace Board, after approval by the Government, will also require ratification/voting in the Assembly. Therefore, this process will be carried out with an accelerated procedure in respect of the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly as soon as it comes from the Council of Ministers. We may need a session in the coming days. Please make arrangements in advance for your presence ," the message reads.
Prime Minister Edi Rama announced through a post on "X" that President Donald Trump's invitation to participate in the "Peace Board" for Gaza will be forwarded to the Albanian Parliament for approval.
The Prime Minister thanked Trump for the invitation, describing the US president's initiative as a transformative model of peacebuilding at the global level.
