Robert De Niro to star in a film about the Kosovo war

Hollywood legend Robert De Niro will take part in a special film project that will be partially shot in Kosovo, bringing one of the most important chapters in the country's history to the international public.

The film focuses on the Kosovo War and the Recak Massacre, reflecting the pain and resilience of the Kosovar people.

According to producer Fitim Krasniqi, this project aims to tell the story of families affected by conflicts and become a cultural bridge between Kosovo and global audiences. De Niro will play the role of Krasniqi's father, giving life to a character based on real events.

The filmmakers plan to include other well-known international actors, while filming in Kosovo will begin in 2026.

This is the first time that a star of De Niro's stature has participated in a film that is directly related to the history of Kosovo, attracting great attention and positive expectations.
