Firing guns in the air after a fight between a group of young people prevents

Escalation of a conflict in Saranda is prevented. The Saranda Police reacted immediately after a conflict between young people that led to gunfire in neighborhood no. 1 of the city. The incident occurred two days ago at around 22:30, on “Panorama” street, where Jurgen Lapa, 19 years old, and a minor fired guns in the air to threaten several young people after previous conflicts. A 19-year-old resident of Saranda and a minor citizen are wanted.

As a result of the intensive intervention of the Crime Investigation Section at the Saranda Police Station, on 13.03.2026, four people were arrested, Aleksandër Zervo, Gramoz Adushi, Aidi Basho and Danjel Zbobo, aged 18 and residents of Saranda, who are suspected of having been aware of the incident and not having reported it. During the search of the scene, 5 shell casings, several mobile phones and a vehicle were seized as material evidence.

The immediate intervention and intensive investigative actions of specialists from the Crime Investigation Section at the Saranda Police Commissariat made it possible to quickly solve a shooting incident that occurred in neighborhood no. 1 of the city.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that on 12.03.2026, at around 22:30, on "Panorama" street, citizen JL and a minor citizen, for weak motives and after previous conflicts with several young people, fired firearms in the air with the aim of threatening them.

As a result of swift police action, on 13.03.2026, around evening hours, it was possible to capture and detain citizens AZ, GA, AB and DZ, aged 18, residents of Saranda, who are suspected of having been aware of the incident and not having reported the crime.

During the investigation of the scene, the Police services seized 5 shell casings, several mobile phones, and a vehicle as material evidence.

Meanwhile, citizen JL, 19 years old, and a minor citizen have been declared wanted, while work continues to capture them and fully clarify the circumstances of this incident.

The procedural materials were referred to the Saranda Prosecution Office for the criminal offenses of "Threat", "Unlicensed production and possession of weapons of war and ammunition", "Disturbance of public peace" and "Failure to report a crime".
