Britain denies Russia's accusations it is supplying nuclear weapons to Ukraine

Britain has hit back at Russian claims it is planning to supply Ukraine with nuclear weapons, saying Putin is lying to distract attention from 'hateful actions' in Ukraine.
"This is a clear attempt by Vladimir Putin to divert attention from his despicable actions in Ukraine. There is nothing true in this. You will have seen the Prime Minister's words this morning paying tribute to the extraordinary resistance of the Ukrainian people... We will continue our efforts to secure a just and lasting peace," a spokesman for the prime minister said on Tuesday.
The statement comes after Russia's foreign intelligence service, the SVR, accused the United Kingdom and France of planning to supply Kiev with nuclear bombs or a nuclear-tipped "dirty bomb," without providing any evidence.
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev later claimed that, if that were the case, Russia could use nuclear weapons against the United Kingdom, Ukraine and France “if necessary.” Ukraine rejects Russian claims that Kiev is cooperating with two superpowers to secure nuclear weapons: An absurd lie
