The agenda of the 8th Albania-EU Intergovernmental Conference is revealed

The 8th Albania - European Union Intergovernmental Conference will be held in Brussels today, officially paving the way for Albania to enter the closing phase of EU membership negotiations. 

The conference takes place following the decision adopted by the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States of the European Union (COREPER), which confirms the fulfillment of the interim conditions in the "Fundamentals" chapter group, and sets the conditions for the closure of negotiations for Chapter 23 "Judiciary and Fundamental Rights" and Chapter 24 "Justice, Freedom and Security".

The conference will be attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who will lead the Albanian delegation composed of cabinet ministers. Rama and the delegation are expected to arrive at the Council of Europe at around 18:50, the Intergovernmental Conference will start at 19:00, while a press conference will be held around 20:15.
