Operation with the Italians, SPAK with official announcement on the strike on Igli Kamberi's group: Four women were involved, what did the investigations reveal

The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has issued an official announcement regarding the operation conducted in recent hours in cooperation with Italian authorities, which targeted a structured criminal group led by Igli Kamberi, also suspected of involvement in serious criminal events, including the murder of Francesco Divisti.
The joint operation between SPAK and the Bari District Anti-Mafia Directorate was carried out within the framework of an international investigative team, supported by Eurojust, with a focus on cracking down on an organization based in Albania and operating in Italy, involved in international drug trafficking and laundering of the proceeds of crime.
The investigations have also focused on unraveling the murder of Francesco Divisti, which occurred on April 25, 2025 in Canosa di Puglia, as well as on identifying the financial mechanisms through which drug trafficking money circulated from Italy to Albania.
According to the announcement, the Special Court and the Italian authorities have issued a total of 15 personal security measures against Albanian and Italian citizens, which were executed in several cities in Albania, Italy and Spain, as part of a coordinated international operation.
Investigations have uncovered a well-organized criminal scheme involved in premeditated murder using mafia methods, drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons, attempted extortion and international money laundering, while part of the group is suspected of also acting in concealing evidence and obstructing justice.
Significant assets, including commercial companies, vehicles, bank accounts and hundreds of thousands of euros in cash linked to suspected criminal activity, have also been seized in the case.
The Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) and the Bari District Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA) conducted this morning a joint and extensive operation within the framework of international investigations in Albania and Italy, carried out by the Joint Investigation Team, established with the support of Eurojust.
The investigations focused on uncovering the murder of Francesco Divisti, an event that occurred on April 25, 2025, in Canosa di Puglia, in southern Italy, and an Albanian criminal organization, based in Tirana, involved in international drug trafficking and laundering of the proceeds of crime, from Italy to Albania.

Masat u ekzekutuan në bazë të një urdhër arresti ndërkombëtar në Tiranë, Fier, Vlorë (Shqipëri), në Barletta, në burgun e Romës dhe Agnani, (Itali) si dhe në Madrid (Spanjë).

Në masën paraprake të lëshuar nga Gjykata e Barit është konfirmuar qëndrueshmëria e provave ndaj tre personave, të hetuar si ekzekutorë material krimit të kryer ndaj Francesco Diviestit; një shqiptar (autori) dhe dy italianë nga Barleta, një burrë dhe një grua, që ndihmuan në fshehjen e gjurmëve të krimit duke mos e raportuar atë tek autoritetet gjyqësore.
Ekzekutimi i Francesco Diviesti-t – 25 Prill 2025
Hetimet zbuluan se në mbrëmjen e datës 25 Prill 2025, Francesco Diviesti u përfshi në një konflikt, në një bar të Barletta-s dhe u dërgua brenda disa shpellave, pranë një zonë të izoluar në Murgia-n e sipërme, në Casosa di Puglia, ku është qëlluar 5 herë nga dy pistoleta dhe më pas, i është vënë flaka brenda disa gomave, me qëllim që kufoma të digjej, sipas një metode të përdorur në vitet ’90, në këtë zonë. Duke iu referuar kësaj mënyre të ekzekutimi, hetimi u mor përsipër nga Drejtoria Antimafia e Barit, duke lokalizuar kufomën brenda katër ditëve. Më 25 Qershor, shtetasi shqiptar i përfshirë në krim, i cili ishte larguar dy ditë pas ekzekutimit të Diviesti-t, u arrestua në qytetin Roshe të Hungarisë, jo për vrasje, por për posedim të 24 kilogramëve kokainë të pastër, në kuadër të procedimit të Prokurorisë së Tranit. Drejtoria Antimafia e Barit i kishte dërguar provat kësaj Prokurorie për të bërë të mundur arrestimin e tij për këtë krim. Në të njëjtën kohë, tek familjarë të tij u sekuestruan mbi 412.000 euro ‘cash’ si dhe u dokumentua përfshirja e tre shtetasve italianë në këtë çështje penale në hetim.
Rindërtimi i vrasjes së Diviesti-t dhe identifikimi i grupit kriminal të përfshirë në pastrimin e produkteve të veprës penale u bë i mundur falë një hetimi më të gjerë ndaj shtetasve shqiptarë të vendosur në Puglia, të zhvilluar nga Drejtoria Hetimore Antimafia e Barit, nën drejtimin dhe koordinimin e Drejtorisë Antimafia të Barit, në kuadër të trafiqeve ndërkombëtare të drogës nga Shqipëria në Puglia.
Regarding the investigated citizens, the GJKKO has also ordered preventive seizure of 4 commercial companies, 8 vehicles, 10 bank accounts and the amount of 680,595 euros, which were seized by the State Police on November 14, 2024 at the Muriqani Border Crossing Point, following information received from the DIA Operational Center, Bari.
Today's operation is part of a multi-year investigative project between SPAK and the DDA of Bari against international cocaine and heroin trafficking, managed by Albanian criminal organizations, and follows the operations:
From 2018 to 2025, these operations have led to the imposition of 170 security measures, the seizure of assets worth millions of euros and the seizure of over 7 tons of drugs (cocaine, heroin, cannabis). At various levels of trial, sentences of up to 20 years in prison have been imposed for each defendant.
