DP, Albania Becomes and LZHK agree on national proportional representation and 100 percent open lists

The Political Dialogue Forum led by Ermal Hasimja has continued negotiations with opposition parties. Sources for A2CNN indicate that the recent negotiations have been fruitful, bringing together 3 political parties on the Electoral Code.
It is learned that the DP, Albania Becomes and LZHK have agreed to propose the national proportional system at the electoral reform table. They also agree on 100% open lists and pre-election coalitions.
It now remains for this agreement to be presented as a draft in the Assembly. In the meantime, negotiations continue with other opposition parties.
In a reaction on social media, the Forum for Political Dialogue states:
“ The Forum for Political Dialogue is working on an agreement among the opposition parties on a unified position on the new electoral code. Over the past weeks, we have talked with the leaders of the main parties and have reached an agreement in principle, while we are working on the concrete details. The national proportional system with open lists and pre-electoral coalitions has been proposed by the Forum itself and two opposition parties. The Democratic Party has accepted the proposal. Currently, work is underway on the concrete details .”
" The Forum believes that such an electoral system will guarantee a fairer representation of Albanians, will enable fairer competition and more representative deputies. This system also enables a fairer representation of new opposition parties. The Forum highly appreciates the constructive stance of the opposition parties. This is an important positive step for a stronger and more credible opposition ," the reaction continues.
