Skënder Hita meets in Elbasan and Korça, orders to structures: Maximum response and commitment! Prevention of criminal events

The General Director of the State Police, Skënder Hita, today held meetings with the structures of the local police directorates of Korça and Elbasan, as well as with those of the Border and Migration Directorate, Korça.
During the meetings, Director Hita emphasized that insufficient work has been done in both districts in terms of preventing and cracking down on illegal possession of weapons, the sale of narcotics, and the arrest of wanted citizens.
Director Hita requested maximum commitment to preventing and combating the cultivation of narcotic plants, environmental crimes, as well as to uncovering previously occurring criminal events, by providing quality information from criminal intelligence.
Further, the Director emphasized the need to increase the performance of the police service at all levels, the application of technology in fulfilling the duties of the Traffic Police, in the strict implementation of orders not to stop vehicles, without cause, on the main national axes, and the punishment of incorrect parking that becomes a source of accidents or impedes the free movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
The Director also requested a timely and professional response from the Police services when there are events or when requested by citizens, dynamic follow-up of any concerns raised by citizens, and maximum commitment, starting from the Chief of the Police Station to the General Patrols, to guarantee safety in schools.
Also during the meeting, Director Hita emphasized that insufficient work has been done by the Border Police structures to prevent and combat cross-border crimes in general, as well as to combat trafficking and assistance to illegal immigrants who attempt to use the territory of Albania as a transit point towards European Union countries, in particular. He also called for an increase in service performance at border crossing points, as they are the first contact of citizens and tourists with our country.
At the end of both meetings, the Director General called for an uncompromising fight against illegalities, real-time reaction and maximum commitment from all police structures.
The State Police invites citizens to cooperate by reporting in a timely manner any concerns, illegalities or information they have, in order to contribute to increasing security and public order parameters.
