Consensus/ With the votes of the Democratic Party, the Socialists elect the new mayor of the Municipal Council in Fier

With 41 councilors present in the hall, the Fier Municipal Council voted for the new council head, Melsi Bogdani.
Earlier, the socialist group presented a motion of dismissal, asking Antoneta Çunaj to resign. Çunaj avoided voting for her dismissal, paving the way for the process to elect a new head of the Municipal Council. Melsi Bogdani was proposed by the largest political group in the council as her successor.

After the meeting of the Mandates Commission to verify the request of the socialist councilors, the voting process for the new head of the Municipal Council continued. Melsi Bogdani was elected by a majority of votes, also receiving the support of the DP councilors. There was only one vote against, that of Antoneta Çunaj.
In his speech, the new mayor of the Municipal Council, Melsi Bogdani, praised the work of the former mayor and stated that the council will enter another level of functioning.
