Fraudulent Call Centers Move to the Suburbs of Tirana: Luxury Villas Camouflaged as Medical Tourism
Two days ago, the state police issued this statement, talking about the discovery of an environment where a Call Center was being operated.
What happened that day, and how events unfolded, we will now tell you, step by step, in detail.
Because we were there, and we were the first to enter the structure where this criminal activity was taking place.
The genesis of this story begins three months ago, when, after our continuous denunciations, the owners of fraudulent call centers changed their strategy, no longer feeling safe in the towers of downtown Tirana.
The latter cannot be relied upon, because we tried not only to approach, but also to enter the premises of a villa that had been transformed into a fraudulent call center.
It's Wednesday, April 16, 2026, and we're headed to Bërzhitë, where a fraudulent call center has been installed in a resort amidst greenery, with about 150 employees.
In reality, after an inside tip, we had been keeping an eye on him for more than a month, documenting his entries and exits, and the work that was done every day, with the sole purpose of defrauding foreign citizens with fictitious online investments.
And the camouflage of this activity was dental tourism in Albania.
After observing day after day, discovering the truth, and moreover when we realized that the recent movements in the state police were affecting the people who did not lift a finger after our continuous denunciations, we decided that it was the right moment to intervene... Moreover when we realize that the people who take care of security are currently not at work.
So in this situation, the Piranhas decide to enter this environment.
As we faced the first group, someone quickly turned off the lights, apparently to give their colleagues time to leave...
The employees are all in a panic and completely confused, so much so that they don't know where to go.
They are scattered in every corner of the villa, not knowing where to run, while the parking lot outside is in total chaos.
Meanwhile, from inside the villa, other employees continue to emerge, some running, some covering their faces.
At moments when everyone is running away, an angry object comes almost running towards us, screaming and demanding to take the camera out of our hands.
Here we need to clarify something once and for all... Neither this object, which itself does not know what it is seeking, nor others before or after it, can prevent us from doing our work, in the service of citizens and the truth, despite such desperate attempts.
While the mass escape of fraudsters in groups continues...
Not only thieves, but also arrogant and foul-mouthed...
Like this other object that at the exit of the villa displays the vocabulary arsenal of the house and its family.
For all those who will start justifying these individuals and their arrogant behavior from the keyboard, we must clarify that these young men and women, part of fraudulent call centers, are fully aware accomplices in theft.
They wake up every day with the idea of who they are going to cheat and who they are going to rob of their savings, and this becomes a kind of way of life. One only has to look at their luxurious clothes and tools to understand what their long-term project is.
The structure is divided into 15 office spaces, in which about 100 people operated, including operators and financial consultants, all of whom have now fled in panic...
But apparently someone has sought to take measures to ensure that no material remains in our hands, and has intervened in the system through a program that controls the computer remotely...
As we said earlier, the fraudulent call center was camouflaged as medical tourism services, and to better hide this activity, billboards advertising this phantom activity were placed.
Also, the employees were all provided with individual employment contracts, signed by the employer, Franc Korteshi.
Meanwhile, the first police patrol has arrived at the villa's territory, and a few minutes later, economic crime agents also arrive.
Our work is over here, leaving everything in the hands of law enforcement agencies, who we hope will, unlike previous experiences we have had with them, do their job responsibly.
