Chiara Ferragni in total crisis: millions in losses and prison on the horizon!

Fashion influencer and entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni, once considered the “Italian Kim Kardashian,” is facing the fallout from a charity scandal that has hit her career and financial empire. With a reported net worth of $82 million, Ferragni was part of a campaign to promote cake giant Balocco’s Pandoro cake in late 2022, claiming a portion of the proceeds would go to the Regina Margherita children’s hospital in Turin.

Italian journalist Selvaggia Lucarelli revealed that the hospital received no percentage of sales, but only a single donation of $54,000 from Balocco, while Ferragni gave nothing. After strong reactions, she apologized and announced a personal donation of $1.1 million. However, the consequences were severe: her sponsorship deals were cut, Coca-Cola and Tod's withdrew from partnerships, her flagship store in Milan was closed, and her companies, Fenice and TBS Crew, saw revenue drop by 94-95%, causing millions of dollars in losses and massive layoffs.

Ferragni has been in the spotlight since appearing at the Milan Palace of Justice in November for the start of her fraud trial, looking dapper in a conservative suit. She will return to court in January 2026 to hear her sentence, with prosecutors seeking a 20-month prison sentence. The case has become one of the most controversial scandals in the Italian fashion industry, damaging the influencer's image and businesses.
