Tehran officials: Iran's nuclear facility was the target of attacks

Iranian officials said Friday evening that the nuclear facility in Arak, Iran, was the target of attacks, according to Iranian state media Fars News, A2CNN reports.
An official in Iran's Markazi province claimed the attack was carried out by US and Israeli forces, adding that there were no casualties due to previous security measures.
The reported attack comes shortly after the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning for Iranian civilians located northwest of the city of Arak and in the Khir Abad Industrial Zone, which are areas near the nuclear plant.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement in Persian warning civilians that they would strike Iranian military infrastructure in the area, without specifying exact targets.
The IDF later said that the Israeli Air Force "has begun attacking infrastructure belonging to the Iranian terrorist regime throughout Iran," based on Israeli intelligence.
