"The war in Iran will be over within weeks", Rubio: The US does not need to deploy troops on the ground

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio speaks to the media after the G7 foreign ministers' meeting in France.
The US expects the operation in Iran to be completed within weeks, not months, Rubio told reporters.
"We have objectives and we are very confident that we are on the verge of achieving them," he said.
Rubio said Iran could decide to set up a toll system in the Strait of Hormuz, adding that any permanent toll on the waterway would be "unacceptable."
There is nothing Russia is doing about Iran that is hindering or affecting US military operations in the country, he said when asked about ties between Moscow and Tehran.
Asked about the possibility of a possible ground invasion of Iran by the US, the secretary of state said: "We can achieve all of our objectives without ground troops. But we will always be prepared to give the president maximum optionality and maximum ability to adapt to unexpected situations, if they arise."
