Secret Service agent accompanying former US First Lady shoots himself at Philadelphia airport

A United States Secret Service agent accidentally shot himself in the leg Friday morning (March 27) while escorting former US First Lady Jill Biden to Philadelphia International Airport.
According to Philadelphia Police, the incident occurred while the agent was inside a vehicle near the 1 PIA Way entrance and the Pennsylvania Tower.
Authorities said no one else was injured and there was no disruption to airport operations.
According to foreign media, the agent was injured and is being treated at a nearby hospital, with his life out of danger. The Secret Service described the incident as an "accidental discharge while using a service weapon."
Meanwhile, it is learned that Jill Biden was not at the scene at the time of the shooting.
