Life-sentenced prisoner transferred from Peqin prison to Burrel, drugs found in his socks

The General Directorate of Prisons has announced that it has transferred the life-sentenced prisoner, Miklovan Parubi, from Peqin prison to Burrel prison.

According to the announcement, the transfer took place for security reasons. During the search conducted at Burrel prison, it was learned that a small bag suspected of being narcotics was found hidden in a sock among Parubi's personal materials.

According to the announcement, the Internal Control Service in the Prison System and the Burrel Police Commissariat have received the material for conducting the relevant expertise.
