Left Bristol City, Mehmeti: I will never forget you, thank you all

Anis Mehmeti left Bristol City to join Ipswich Town. The Albanian striker did not hesitate to send a message to thank everyone for the support.

“Today I say goodbye to Bristol City, a club that has been a huge part of my life and my development as a footballer. From the first day I arrived here, I felt like I was growing every year, not just as a player but as a person. My time here has shaped me immensely. I want to thank every team-mate I have played with over the years. The memories in the dressing room, the difficult moments, the special victories and the obstacles we have overcome together. I am grateful for every single moment shared, on and off the pitch, with each and every one of you.

A special thank you to the coach, Gerhard Struber. In a short period of time, he showed real faith in me on the pitch, believed in me and helped me a lot with his ideas and self-confidence. That faith made a big difference and I really appreciate it. I also want to give a lot of credit to Brian Tinnion and the board. There have been times when things haven't always been easy, but they have stood by me, supported me and helped me put myself in a position to succeed. Their faith and support have played a big part in making my time at this club a successful one, including reaching the play-offs after so many years, something I will always be proud to have been a part of.

To all the staff behind the scenes, thank you for always being fantastic with me, day in and day out. The work you do behind the scenes never goes unnoticed. And finally, to the fans: thank you for the incredible support and love you have shown me over the years. In good times and bad, you have always been there, at home and away. I felt that support every time I put on the jersey, and it means more to me than words can express.
