Fierce debates were reportedly recorded at the meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, held this Friday, between Prime Minister Edi Rama and MP Erion Braçe. It was the latter who expressed his dissatisfaction regarding the votes held the day before in the plenary session of the Parliament.
Erion Braçe has criticized the way in which the members of the Public Procurement Commission (PPC) were approved and voted on, where the new head of this important institution was also elected.
According to VNA, the socialist MP objected to the fact that MPs voted for candidates they did not know and for whom no prior discussion had taken place.
" We voted for people we don't know. Bring us the things ready and ask us to vote with our eyes closed ," Braçe is reported to have said.
But this statement did not please Rama, who responded to Braça by saying that the members of the KPP are a proposal from the government and that their vote in the Assembly is a request from the European Union.
" They are the government's verdict. What can I do if the EU asks us to do it? We didn't bring it to the Assembly at all ," Rama is reported to have said.
However, Braçe did not back down and responded again to the prime minister. At that moment, Rama lost his patience and addressed the socialist MP in high tones: " Shut up. Don't talk about me. Go f*ck off. "
After the debate with Braça, Rama also issued a message that was interpreted as a warning to all Socialist MPs.
" I'll give you an example. Until now, I thought your neurons weren't working properly ," he is reported to have said.
We remind you that this is not the first time that Rama has clashed with SP MPs during Parliamentary Group meetings. He has previously clashed with Elisa Spiropali, while there has been no shortage of warnings about exclusions.
