Crispy sardines in the oven without frying

Ingredients:
1 kg cleaned sardines
200 g corn flour
50 g wheat flour Salt
, black pepper
Sweet red pepper or chili
2–3 tablespoons olive oil
1 lemon for serving
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 200°C. In a large bowl, mix the cornmeal, wheat flour, salt, black pepper, and red pepper. Add the sardines a little at a time and mix well to coat them in the spiced flour. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the sardines in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Serve warm with fresh lemon juice.
