Salianji responds to Noka: I am not seeking a position in the DP, I have neither

Ervin Salianji, a member of the DP leadership, invited to the studio of the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, denied the statement of the Secretary General of the DP, Flamur Noka, that he is seeking his position in the party. Salianji stated that there is no fight for positions in the DP, rejecting the statements of Noka, who in a short status on Facebook, wrote ironically to Salianji: He started with a fuss as the "savior" of the DP, but before three weeks had passed he had reduced it to a request for a chair.   

"Tomorrow at 6:00 PM at the Skampa Theater in Elbasan I have a meeting with the Democrats. I expected to be invited to the meeting that the Democratic Party and Mr. Berisha held in Elbasan, because I was the political leader, the honorary leader, as Mr. Berisha said, after I was imprisoned. I left there, not by vote, not by any decision-making, which comes because of the vote, but because of the violence and repression of the government, kidnapping me and taking me to prison.

So, since I did not have such an invitation and did not have the opportunity to be there, I told you yesterday at the meeting that I would meet some Democrats, we will see how many there will be tomorrow, who invited me, who are mainly structures of the Democratic Party, to discuss the concerns they have in relation to the approach of the Democratic Party and the abandonment that the Democratic Party has made to them.

I have communicated with Mr. Alimehmeti and he maintains the same positions regarding the situation in the Democratic Party. He is on the committees of the Tirana Municipal Council, but if he finds the time, he will definitely be there.

I have no fight. I am not seeking a position in the Democratic Party. I will not take a position in the Democratic Party and I am not making this move to take that position in the Democratic Party.  

And I'll tell you something else. I don't have an office in the Democratic Party, I don't get paid, I don't have privileges. I do this, let's say a profession, I call it that or a vocation with passion, to serve first the Democrats who have appreciated me in the vote, wherever I have been, but also society, with a fair battle," said Salianji.
