"Build a structure", expert: How should we protect ourselves from cyberattacks and the role of the prime minister

Security expert Redion Qirjazi says Albania needs to strengthen coordination between institutions and build a structure to deal with cyber threats. Invited to the show “Off the Record” with Andrea Danglli on A2 CNN, Qirjazi said:
" Albania has also involved NATO in improving its security structure, by establishing a center for cybersecurity within the Armed Forces, as well as by improving the systems of the National Cyber Security Agency and the equipment of the National Cyber Security Agency. There is no system in the world that is perfect in its protection. But if you rest on your laurels and do not implement better security protocols, do not follow the latest technology or have elements of corruption and a lack of a proactive approach to network protection, then you make it easier for the adversary ."
He added that the country should create a special structure, divided according to threat levels, from cyber threats to regional developments in the Balkans.
" A structure should be established divided according to the threat levels that Albania faces, where different experts continuously analyze these risks. You cannot rely only on one individual close to the prime minister, as no one can know everything. Specialists must be prepared to provide decision-makers with the best and fastest information about the situation at the moment a threat occurs ," the expert concluded.
