UNMIK Kosovo's "wanted" people arrested in Tirana for human

The state police finalized this Monday the operation codenamed "Operacionalja", after having placed in handcuffs two citizens who had been declared internationally wanted by the Special Representative of the Secretary General of UNMIK/Kosovo.

UNMIK had issued an international arrest warrant for citizens RB and G. H, as they are accused of the criminal offense of "Participation or organization of a structured criminal group" in the field of trafficking in human beings.

The citizens were detained with the aim of extradition to Kosovo authorities.

Successive operations by the Directorate of the Special Operational Force of the DPSS continue to locate and capture internationally wanted persons.

Two more phases of the police operation codenamed "Operacionalja" have been finalized over the last 24 hours.

During two phases, Operation 78 and Operation 79, two citizens were captured and handcuffed, with the aim of extradition to Kosovo.

Continuing the work to track, locate and capture internationally wanted persons, the services of the Special Operational Force Directorate, based on the information provided, organized and finalized the 78th and 79th phases of the police operation codenamed "Operacionalja".

Within the framework of these phases, in the city of Tirana, citizens RB and GH, residents of Tirana, were arrested and detained.

These two citizens were declared internationally wanted, after the Special Representative of the Secretary General of UNMIK/Kosovo, on 13.01.2026, issued an international arrest warrant for these two citizens, as suspects of committing the criminal offenses of "Participation in or organization of a structured criminal group", in the field of trafficking in human beings, provided for by the Criminal Code of Kosovo.

The citizens were detained with the aim of extradition to Kosovo authorities.

Work continues to finalize the extradition procedure for these citizens to Kosovo.
