e-Albania is blocked again, business activity and fiscalization are paralyzed,

Since this morning, business activity has been paralyzed due to the malfunction of e-Albania.

Subjects complain that they are unable to take any action, while they are not even able to issue invoices for payments.

Tax sources said that the National Agency for the Information Society (AKSHI), which is responsible for the smooth running of e-Albania, is working and the system is expected to be regulated soon.

While the AKSHI itself does not respond, in its first reaction to "Monitor" it said that the system is fine. "Everything turns out to be fine, we just retested it," official sources from E-Albania told Monitor.

But businesses claim they are completely blocked and unable to take any action. “E-Albania opens up to a certain point and then turns around,” says an economist, exasperated by this problem that has been going on for weeks. He has also sent photos, as he tries to enter the self-care system, through which businesses can see all purchase invoices coming from suppliers.

Businesses are failing to fiscalize invoices. "If you go to the store now, theoretically you shouldn't receive the service, because the goods don't come out without a coupon, but the cashier can't cash out without a coupon," says an economist. "Payments for fiscalized invoices cannot be paid by second-tier banks."

"And Albania opens, but self-care doesn't work, it can't even make invoices from the cash registers," says another business.

This situation has been ongoing since the end of last year and businesses are unable to work smoothly, due to the problems they are encountering and the constant interruption of services.

"E-albania is the government portal where public services found in the physical offices and counters of institutions are provided electronically thanks to the Government Interaction Platform that connects the systems of institutions with each other. The portal is conceived as a one-stop electronic office where the citizen registers using his identity card and is served by searching and applying for the service he needs," it says on the e-albania website.

But, reality is showing that these services, instead of facilitating businesses and citizens, are turning into a nightmare for them, and moreover, no one is explaining or telling them when the problem will be solved.
