A video published by the portal "Alfapress.al", showed Olsi Rama having lunch in a house in a village in Kukës, with the DP MP Arjan Ndoja and other people, some of whom are members of organized crime, such as the Troplini gang.
Mr. Ndoja himself reacted to the video, explaining that it was made four years ago and was not organized by him, but he had participated, responding to the invitation, without worrying about the guests, based on what he calls the "good traditions" of the Albanian, such as honor and hospitality.
In fact, we must first clarify a misunderstanding about tradition, honor, and hospitality.
It is not an Albanian tradition, much less a good one, and it is not an honor to seat a friend at a table with members of criminal groups. And from this point of view, it is not at all a customary obligation to respond to an invitation to have lunch with suspicious people, or even with the brother of the prime minister, whom Mr. Ndoja, I believe, thinks is the head of a captured state, who collaborates with bandits and traffickers. On the other hand, even more so as a prosecutor, Mr. Ndoja has the minimum obligation for work ethics, to stay where he has lunch with people for whom the state has assigned him the task of tracking down, to put them in prison and not to share the table.
However, this is Mr. Ndoja's personal problem. The biggest problem here is the silence of the media, which did not bother to clarify and report this news and even more so the silence of the opposition, which screams and shouts every day about Rama's connections with crime, even when there is no fact, while it keeps quiet and lowers its head when the facts come out on video. Surprisingly, Berisha's digital citizen had caught a virus these days and became mute to a fact that could shock the public.
The video needs to be declassified and explained to the public. The silence on it shows the compromise of all links in society, pointing to a system where guards and thieves are together in a secret and dirty alliance, against the country and its citizens.
