US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz has stated that there has been no violation of international law in the US operation in Venezuela.

He emphasized that Trump gave Maduro many opportunities, but according to him, they were not taken into account at all.

"We have not invaded Venezuela, we have no military forces in the country. We have brought to justice a wanted criminal to whom President Trump gave many opportunities. We will not back down from our obligations to the world and the citizens of Venezuela. More than 50 countries and organizations do not recognize Maduro as the elected leader of the country. The elections were a farce and Maduro is not the President of the country," the US ambassador said at the UN Security Council meeting.
