White House on Greenland: All options are open, but diplomacy is the first choice

"Greenland is being discussed between Donald Trump and the US National Security Council.

"The first option is always diplomacy, as was the case in Venezuela," White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt said at a press conference.

At the same time, when asked about the possible use of military means in Greenland, she stressed that Donald Trump is keeping all options open, "but diplomacy is always the first option."

"The Greenland issue is a national security issue, it has existed for many years and concerns the US, as they want to limit Russian and Chinese influence in the region," Levitt added.
