This was said today by senior Iranian security official Ali Larijani in a post on the X platform, as war clouds gather again in the Persian Gulf.
"Contrary to the atmosphere created by the artificial media war, the formation of a structure for negotiations is underway," Larijani wrote, without providing further details.
It is worth noting that on Friday, as the large American army was arriving in the Middle East, US President Donald Trump estimated that Iran wants to "make a deal" with the US.
"I can tell you they want to make a deal," the US president told reporters in the Oval Office. When asked if he had given the Iranians a deadline, Trump replied "yes" without further clarification.
After warning that "time is running out" before an attack on Tehran, Trump also said he "hopes" he will not have to strike Iran, which is also under pressure to conclude a nuclear deal.
According to the American news website Axios, citing American officials, any deal with Tehran would have to include withdrawing all enriched uranium from the country, limiting its long-range missile stockpiles and changing policy toward certain armed groups in the region.
