Israeli attacks in Lebanon, IDF: We killed 700 Hezbollah members

At least 700 Hezbollah operatives have been killed so far in Lebanon in the conflict, the Israel Defense Forces said.

The figure includes "hundreds" of members of the terrorist group's elite Radwan Force, the IDF said in comments published by The Times of Israel.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed plans yesterday for his army to occupy parts of southern Lebanon up to the Litani River, to create a "defensive zone" in its battle with the Iran-backed militant group.

The total number of people killed in Lebanon since the start of Israeli attacks on March 2 is at least 1,094, the country's health ministry said in its latest update.
