Responsible for nuclear program, Iranian media: Iranian scientist killed in

Ali Fouladvand, head of research at Iran's Defense Research and Innovation Organization, a scientist in Iran's nuclear program before 2004, was reportedly killed along with several members of his family in an airstrike in Borujerd, Iran International reports.

He was involved in overseeing sensitive military research.

Fouladvand had survived a previous attack during the war last June, during which his wife, Masoumeh Pirhadi, was killed.
