"More protests are needed within the country," the exiled Iranian

Reza Pahlavi, the exiled crown prince of Iran, has spoken out against any negotiations with the regime in Tehran and called for more protests within the country.

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Texas, where he was greeted with applause from Republican activists and lawmakers, Pahlavi said negotiations with the Iranian regime would be just a way to buy time, cheat and steal, adding that Tehran would not be an honest partner for peace.

"The only thing you can count on the remnants of this regime to do is buy time, deceive and steal," he stressed, warning that the regime will continue with its old jihadist tactics to threaten America and its interests.

Pahlavi called on Iranians to protest again when the time is right, describing himself as a possible option to lead a new government. He received loud applause when he asked the crowd to imagine an Iran where chants of “Death to America” were replaced with “God bless America.”

According to Pahlavi, sustained nationwide protests are a way to challenge the regime and pave the way for political change within Iran. Meanwhile, former US President Donald Trump has expressed skepticism about leading a new government from abroad, suggesting that a candidate from within the country might be more suitable.
