Three market owners arrested for selling fireworks. Police appeal to citizens

Three market owners in Kombinat, Kamzë and Krujë have been arrested.

The police report that boxes of pyrotechnics were found in their premises, which were being held for the purpose of sale.

Tirana Police once again appeals to all citizens not to use and trade pyrotechnics in violation of the established rules and criteria, as this activity, which poses a risk to their lives and health, is punishable by law.

As a result of intensive controls being carried out daily, within the framework of the "Fireworks" operational plan, on entities that may trade pyrotechnic substances without authorization, an activity that endangers the health of citizens, Tirana Police services identified 3 markets involved in this illegality.

For these 3 cases, citizens K. K, AB and F. Sh. were arrested, after boxes of pyrotechnics were found in their markets, respectively, on Rrugë e Qelqit, Kombinat, on “Nënë Tereza” boulevard, Kamzë, and in the village of Hasan, Krujë, which were kept with the intention of selling.

Meanwhile, specialists from Police Station No. 4 criminally prosecuted citizen EB, 21 years old, and declared citizen EP, 20 years old, wanted by the police. On “Aleksandër Moisiu” street, during the search of the vehicle driven by citizen EB, a considerable amount of fireworks was found, which are suspected to have been ordered by citizen EP. Work is underway to capture the 20-year-old and fully document the case.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
