Floods/ Residents of Shkozet petition the municipality: Clean the drainage channels immediately

Flooding and blocked canals continue to be a serious concern for residents of the Shkozet area of Durrës. After heavy rains, many streets are flooded, while polluted water seeps into yards and homes, endangering the health and safety of the community.
Recently, 140 citizens have signed a petition, through which they request immediate intervention and a 6-month plan for the cleaning and maintenance of the drainage canal network.
Residents say that the situation has been recurring for years and that every heavy rainfall becomes a source of anxiety.
The initiative has been supported by civil society organizations, while requiring local institutions to move from emergency interventions to sustainable planning.
According to the Executive Director of the "Durrësi Aktiv" Center, Klaudio Hyseni, the problem requires a long-term approach and concrete investments.
