Serious in Gjirokastra, suspected of sexually abusing his partner's minor daughter, handcuffs his stepfather

Klement Kursa, 39 years old, from Dibra with temporary residence in Gjirokastra, has been arrested by the Gjirokastra Police.

His arrest is related to suspicions that he sexually abused a 12-year-old girl, who is the daughter of the 39-year-old's cohabitant in Gjirokastra.

The discovery of this incident was made by the Gjirokastra Police through investigative methods, while so far there has been no concrete complaint from the 12-year-old or her mother. The Gjirokastra Police is carrying out actions regarding this serious incident.

Investigations show that Klement Kursa was arrested five days ago in a flash operation by the Dibra and Gjirokastra Police, as he, along with his twin brother, are suspected of being the perpetrators of a murder that occurred in Dibra in 2018.

In the police action in Gjirokastra and Dibra on January 18, during the search carried out in the apartment of the Dibra twins in Gjirokastra, the following were found and seized: 3 firearms (2 Kalashnikovs and 1 rifle), 1 cold weapon (knife), 3 combs, combat ammunition, 1 mask and 3 mobile phones.

The Gjirokastra Court released Klement Kursa a week ago during the hearing to assess the arrest measure, while today he was arrested again on suspicion of sexual harassment against the daughter of his Gjirokastra cohabitant.

Klement Kursa and his twin brother are suspected of leaving Dibra due to a blood feud and taking refuge in Gjirokastra.
