Tragic accident involving PAOK fans, an Albanian confirmed among the victims

An Albanian has been confirmed among the victims of the tragic road accident that occurred on Tuesday in Romania, which involved a minibus carrying fans of the Greek club PAOK. The news has been confirmed by the relevant authorities and embassy. The Albanian who has died is Vasil Pilo.

In total, seven people lost their lives in this accident, while three others remain injured and are hospitalized at the University Hospital of Timisoara, about 100 kilometers from the scene.

The minibus had left Greece and was traveling to France, where the fans planned to attend Thursday's Europa League match between PAOK and Lyon.

The Greek state news agency AMNA reported that the mayor of Alexandria in Imathia, Panagiotis Girinis, stated that three of the victims were from Alexandria, while the fourth was from the neighboring regional unit of Pieria. The victims from Alexandria were aged 25 to 27.
