Ronaldo writes history with an absolute record in the World Cup, surpassing even Eusébio

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to break records at the age of 41. The Portugal striker and captain wrote another golden page in football history, scoring two goals in the match against Uzbekistan and surpassing the legend Eusébio at the top of the list of Portuguese scorers in World Cups with 10 goals.
Ronaldo needed just six minutes to find the back of the net and give Portugal the lead, scoring his second goal late in the first half. With these goals, he reached the 10th goal in World Cup history, one more than Eusébio, who had only achieved this figure (9) in the 1966 edition.
However, the Portuguese star has another record that sets him apart from all other footballers. He has become the first player in history to score in six different editions of the World Cup.
Ronaldo has found the net at the 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022 and now 2026 World Cups, setting a new record that is unlikely to be broken in the near future.
Lionel Messi has also participated in six World Cups, but the Argentine failed to score in the 2010 edition, leaving Ronaldo alone at the top of this historic record.
