Legend Luka Modric, heading for his fifth World Cup with Croatia

Croatia prepares for another World Cup and Luka Modric is heading towards his fifth World Cup.
The Milan midfielder, now 40, will continue his legend in the USA, Canada and Mexico, after coach Zlatko Dalic included him in the preliminary list of players with the coach who will announce the final list of players he will take to this summer's World Cup on June 1.
At this year's World Cup, Modric is expected to reach the 200th cap for the Croatian national team with the midfielder having participated in the World Cup in 2006, 2014, 2018 and 2022 and with this year's edition he will join names such as Antonio Carbajal, Lothar Matthäus, Rafa Márquez, Andrés Guardado or Yūto Nagatomo, while Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi are expected to play their 6th World Cup. Croatia is in Group L of the World Cup where they will face England, Panama and Ghana.

Defenders: Josko Guardiol, Duje Caleta-Car, Josip Sutalo, Josip Stanisic, Marin Pongracic, Martin Erlic, Luka Vuskovic
Midfielders: Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic, Mario Pasalic, Nikola Vlasic, Luka Sucic, Martin Baturina, Kristijan Jakic, Petar Sucic, Nikola Moro, Toni Fruk
Forwards: Ivan Perisic, Andrej Kramaric, Ante Budimir, Marco Pasalic, Petar Musa, Igor Matanovic.
