Gerrard comments: Salah made a mistake, he needs to get back on track

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has urged Mohamed Salah to stop repeating his recent controversial comments. According to Gerrard, the forward has made a mistake and needs to get back on track.

" It's clear he's very upset and I respect that. But it's wrong for him to say the club has gotten him into trouble. He needs to step down, discuss this with the coach. As players, we've all lost our minds at some point and done rash things in the moment.

I know that in time, when all this calms down, Salah will say: “I shouldn’t have said that. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that. I was excited. I was in a hurry.”

I experienced this with Suarez when he had an argument with Brendan Rodgers, face to face. I was there, I was there myself.

"Ultimately, Liverpool need Salah to get back into form, to get back into scoring goals, because he's the best player, the best goalscorer and he'll help them get out of this situation ,"  Gerrard told TNT Sports.
