Criminalistics expert, Ervin Karamuço, spoke about the SAPK action in Fushë Krujë, where a group suspected of drug trafficking was hit.
On Euronews, Karamuço explained three people are suspected of having fled to the Emirates, while 11 arrest warrants have been executed.
He said that the area of the Kruja plain and Kruja Highlands has long been suspected of being a place of Cannabis sativa cultivation and criminal activities, including contract killings, while he stated that the group is suspected of having sent drugs to various countries in Europe.
Karamuço emphasizes that their activity extended to several European countries and was also connected to Latin America, while explaining that the investigations were coordinated with Turkey, Montenegro and other countries through information provided by SkyECC.
"SPAK itself also issued a statement about this operation. In the last 24 hours, operational and rapid intervention forces had begun their movements, which indicated a major operation. Today it was finalized with 14 arrest warrants; three people are suspected of having fled to Dubai, while 11 warrants were executed. We have long said that the area of Fushë Krujë and Malësia e Krujë, in addition to contract killings, was involved in the cultivation of Cannabis sativa.
