Russian Journalist: She's a Fascist! Meloni Gets Angry: Propagandist for Putin's Regime

Russian journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, who is close to the Kremlin, hurled severe insults at Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during an episode of the program he hosts on Russian television.
Solovyov spoke in Russian and Italian, calling the prime minister a "fascist" and a "bad woman."
"Betrayal is her middle name: she betrayed Trump, to whom she had previously sworn allegiance," Solovyov added during his program.
Italy reacted immediately after this, with Tajani's foreign minister summoning the Russian ambassador for an official protest.
The response from Prime Minister Meloni was not long in coming, calling the journalist a servant of Putin's regime.
"A regime propagandist cannot give lectures. By his nature, a zealous regime propagandist cannot give lessons in either coherence or freedom. We, unlike others, have no obligations, no masters over our heads, and we do not accept orders."
"Our compass remains one: the interests of Italy. And we will continue to follow it with pride, with all due respect to the propagandists."
President Mattarella also came out on Meloni's side , as did exponents of the Italian opposition who condemned the insults addressed to the head of government.
