Symbol of the end-of-year holidays, the actor of "Home Alone" leaves the activity for the film's 35th anniversary

Actor Daniel Stern, known for his role as Marv in the comedy duo Wet Bandits in the popular film Home Alone, has revealed that he will not be participating in any activities marking the 35th anniversary of the film's premiere.
He explained that the reason is that he has chosen a quieter and simpler life as an artist and farmer, becoming a "real homebody."
Stern, 68, humorously said, "I'm not leaving my farm," implying that he likes to stay in his quiet surroundings and not engage in public activities.
He also added that this is not an insult to the film, but a personal preference to stick to his new routine. “One phone call, one Zoom call, I’m here,” he said.
Stern's character, Marv, is a hapless thief who, with his partner Harry (played by Joe Pesci), attempts to rob a house in Chicago, ending in a series of comical events after young Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is left home alone for Christmas.
The actor left Hollywood life many years ago and moved to a ranch in California, where he is more focused on his personal and professional life as an artist and farmer.
Although it's been more than a quarter of a century since the release of Home Alone in 1990, Stern is aware of the impact the film has had and its continued popularity with audiences around the world.
He has emphasized that he is happy to be able to see the film's success from a distance, but does not want to be part of the celebrations.
