Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the next episode of the podcast "Flasim" on Facebook, among the events of the week, also focused on the burning of one of the buildings in the complex near the QSUT in Tirana.
Rama has declared that the building engulfed by fire in the complex near the QSUT in Tirana will be completely rebuilt and that the affected residents will be supported until they return to their homes.
Rama said that affected families will benefit from a rental bonus and assistance for damages caused inside their homes, adding that residents will not be left alone and will be supported until they return to a new, fully reconstructed home.
The Prime Minister added that preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have started from an electrical spark, while emphasizing that final verifications are still in progress.
Edi Rama : During this week there was a moment that, for the sake of truth, was initially terrifying because the flames that engulfed a building in Tirana seemed to seriously threaten the lives of the residents, but, fortunately and thanks to the truly professional, but above all heroic, effort and work of the firefighting forces, everything passed without any lives lost and without serious injuries. Meanwhile, what remained after the fire was the burning of that building, for which we immediately set in motion and the first and most important thing, in my opinion, is that the building will be completely rebuilt from scratch, 100% by its builder himself and on the other hand, the commitment to help the residents so that, until the moment - and I believe it will not take long, because the carbine is there - but until the moment when those residents return home, they can have a rent bonus and, of course, also support from the municipality to ease the burden created by the irreparable damage that has occurred in their apartments.
Now, always in these cases, all kinds of omniscient experts and public experts immediately appear, like mushrooms after the rain, but without the licenses and without the necessary knowledge to take on such a role. But anyway, both because of emotions and because of the need to take the lead, who does not come out and what does not say. The truth is that this was a disaster caused by a spark, by a fire, if you like, which has nothing to do with the construction itself, but, on the other hand, this is a reason to see and understand properly what is related to the quality and construction materials, even though, from the first verification that was made, the construction had all certified materials and came from imports, so I do not want to dwell any longer on this point.
The most important thing is that none of those residents who experienced that dramatic moment, who fortunately and, I repeat, thanks, first and foremost, to the firefighting forces, but also to the law enforcement forces present there, did not return to a tragic moment, will be left alone and will not be left to their own devices in the face of the need to return and live normally in a completely rebuilt, properly their own home.
