Prime Minister Edi Rama has hosted an iftar for Muslim believers during the holy month of Ramadan. The iftar was held at the Palace of Congresses at the end of the fast.
During his speech, Rama said that this table brings us closer to each other. He said that in this table there are different beliefs, professions and people who come from different countries, pray in different ways, but sit together.
"I welcome you to the traditional iftar table. The iftar table is the only table at which you are both the setter and the set, both the host and the friend. Around this table, the invisible law that lives within every human being takes possession of certain territories of the mind and soul. Fasting teaches man patience and the path of taming his first ancestor, the caveman within himself. At this table tonight, different faiths, different professions, people who come from different places and pray in different ways sit together. This iftar has a light where the external light is intertwined with the internal light in each of us. On a day like this, the mention of conflicts and hostilities is inevitable," said Rama.
