European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, during her speech before the European Parliament, has been categorical, emphasizing that there are no freeloaders and that countries that harm us from within cannot become members of the EU.
" There are no freeloaders. Countries that would harm us from within cannot become members of the European Union. We must be absolutely sure of this. Countries that join the EU must have strong democracies, capable of resisting the toxic influence of Russia and others," she said, among other things.
