"We will plant trees with drones", Rama surprises with the promise: No one has found a cure for fires

Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the "For you, nature" event, stated that the challenge of fires facing the country and the need to increase afforestation capacities is great.
"Nowhere, no one has found a cure for fires that cause colossal damage when they come," said the head of government, emphasizing that the challenge will be met by investing in those areas that turn into wounds due to fires.
Rama emphasized that new financial resources will be committed to introducing technology, increasing planting capacities through drone afforestation.
Edi Rama: We have seen it all and we see it especially during the summer season, which is the great challenge of fires. For this reason, the need to intervene is much more courageous in terms of reform and with much more commitment in terms of attention to forests, which is greater every year.
On the other hand, the need to increase our afforestation capacities is also growing every year.
No one, anywhere, has found a cure for fires that cause colossal damage when they come. We cannot keep repeating the same thing, no matter how effective it may have been in previous periods when in the meantime we need to do something else. We must respond to the challenge by reacting and investing in those parts that are becoming sores due to fires.
For this reason, we are also engaging new financial resources to introduce technology, increasing planting capacities through drone afforestation that brings precision, brings efficiency. They are budgeted for the coming year and by building a base next year, we will also increase funding, we will also increase the intensity of these afforestations in the following years.
The focus on the environment, forests and their good management, the focus on protected areas, will be many times greater than it has been to date.
Although the challenge related to those parts of the negotiations that affect the environment is perhaps the most difficult of all, as the demands are maximum, the standards are maximum, and beyond the extraordinary improvements we have made, we are still far behind, if we calculate where we need to reach and where we will reach in a short time.
Often the need to protect the environment creates tension, and often people who advocate for the environment seem like disruptive elements, they are, but necessary.
I have respect for them and overall, beyond the tension that is created, as someone sees it from their own perspective, someone from another perspective, it is indisputable that the pressure of interest groups related to this cause is necessary and healthy for society, and beneficial for the government.
It is important for this interest group to be active and vocal, even though their raised voice creates tension.
