Crime has taken over. It recruits police agents, police officers, police directors, and even higher.
Why has crime taken over the top? How is it possible that crime follows, surveils, and scans every wanted person faster than the police. How is it possible that police chiefs, police station chiefs, crime agents, are paid by crime and gangs and don't ask when they fire the Kalashnikov? Who helps, who gives "heart" to criminals?
Of course not the citizens, of course not the state uniforms who live honestly on their salaries. The minister comes out and says "we are safe", and 20 minutes later 2 people are killed.
Police leaders come out and declare that "we have the situation and the criminal element under control", and then 24 hours later, 1 person is killed in Berat, 2 in Shkoder, 3 are injured in Vlora, etc...
The list remains long, but what is no longer being kept under control is the calm of the citizens. The murder in Rinas showed the incompetence and implication of police officers and leaders in criminal events. Investigations have revealed new facts. There was no electricity at the time of the attack in the middle of Rinas Airport, there was not even 1 police patrol, which on a normal day is there every minute.
Then how can we, ordinary citizens, understand the situation created? How can we, ordinary citizens, be calm in cafes, on the streets, in public spaces, when the Kalash dances in the middle of the day and in the middle of the square?
Crime has taken heart, and is surpassing even the forces of the state. They used to say that "the government catches the hare with a cart", but they are not catching criminals even with new super fast cars. Once upon a time, during the "dictator's" time, with a Russian "jeep", half of Tirana could be captured.
Then, how is it possible that today, with their numerous and modern means and logistics, the police always come up with excuses that "they fled in an unknown direction" or "we did not find sufficient evidence at the crime scene". And lots and lots of other fabrications, which have their source in the connection of specific elements in the police, with crime and gangs.
Murders happen on a sunny day, in the middle of cities, in crowded environments, and the police collect the bullet casings and issue a press release stating that "the person killed today was wanted by us." Will we continue like this, will we remain like this, complaining and not reacting at all to the situation that has arisen?
Civic awareness remains ZERO, and this is of course one of the indicators that crime has become "brave". We do not denounce, we do not report, we avoid, even when we see the criminal in the hoods on top of luxury cars. And do you know why?
Because citizens have the opinion and perception that “the police expose their reports, and that the police collaborate with crime.” Of course, within the ranks of the State Police, there are also good, devoted people, loyal to duty and the law, but they are a minority.
Therefore, it remains an urgent obligation of the Ministry of Interior to radically reform the State Police, otherwise crime will very quickly take over the state itself.
