Rich Ermal and poor Mamaqi

When I read Ermal Mamaqi's statement on Top Channel that "the poor deserve to be poor", I thought of taking this sentence to a parallel universe, but not too far away, somewhere in Albania. All it took was my imagination to place two chairs opposite each other: in one the rich Ermal, in the other the former Ermal. One in a shiny suit and surrounded by the halo of a motivator, while the other in a simple T-shirt who has seen more promises than realizations.
The conversation began:
The poor deserve to be poor, said the rich Ermal, with that cheerful smile of motivational seminars.
Poor Ermal slowly raised his eyes, with the look of someone who has seen more closed doors than opportunities: But who told you that I didn't try?
The rich man laughed lightly, as if in an improvised TED Talk at the Palace of Congresses: You need more energy, more focus, more "visualization". In America, this is how it works in movies too!
But here I am not in America or in the movies, man, the poor man said. Here I am in Albania. Here when I visualize the future, a party door appears before me, not a door of success.
The rich man did not give up: You have to get up early, sacrifice, watch my motivational videos and those like me!
I get up at 5, the poor man said, not for the millions, but to catch the urban. I have the energy, but I can't control the system and I have to take care of my family.
The rich Ermal thought for a while. Then, as if to add salt to the wound: Well, whoever wants, succeeds!
The poor man laughed bitterly: When you wanted, you had another chance. When I want, I get a tender, a friend, a closed list, a door that only opens with a code, not with work. Here, desire is not enough, authorization and "pacts with the devil" are needed
. The problem is not that the rich Ermal succeeded. Well done to him. The problem is that the right people have not found themselves to make pacts, to become facades and to give wealth lectures.
Here, success does not come only from sweat, it comes from the door. The door is not opened with "motivational words", but with agreements and luck and many truths that are not said on the screen.
Poverty is not the fault of the poor. The fault is forgetfulness. Especially when you forget who you were yesterday and today you lecture others with a tone of authority, as if their troubles are a lack of desire, not a lack of state and circumstances or luck.
Ermal and other Ermalas who motivate must understand that in this country, it is not the most difficult battle to become successful. It is difficult to remain human!!!
